Odyssey Rock is a small, family operated ranch located on the Orr family farm. The Colorado plains provides the perfect setting to combine nearly fifty years of family agricultural history with new adventures in farming, ranching and rural living.

With the family farm fast disappearing and with land and water becoming more and more expensive and increasingly short in supply, alpacas and angora goats have given us a reasonable alternative to conventional farming and ranching, making it possible for us to be the best stewards of our resources that we can be.

Every day is an adventure here. Raising teenagers and our herds together make for some unpredictable times, but we love the lifestyle and stability that alpacas and goats have given us, making our farm successful in a time of discouragement for the small farmer/rancher. We're looking forward to being able to pass the success on to our children.

What We Do

Fiber art is one of our many specialties. We strive to make our items soft, practical, and most of all, beautiful.

Using our own homegrown fiber, we make everything ourselves by hand. From hats, scarves and sweaters to yarn and handmade felt, everything, from the animal to the spinning wheel to the needles, gets our personal touch.

Our breeding program is centered around producing fine colored fleeces in both alpaca and mohair, while maintaining healthy livestock with strong conformation.

We love what we do and this family run business is bound together by a love for each other and a love for Jesus Christ, our Rock and our Adventure.
